Freehold Township forward Gabby Galanti had surgery in June after tearing her meniscus in two spots while playing with her club team and is expected to be out until mid-September, new Patriots coach Dave Patterson said Monday.
Galanti, who spent some time with the U.S. U-15 girls’ national team recently, along with Amanda Dailey, Christina Camassa and Nicole Koretsky, is part of a talented junior class at Freehold Township, which will opens the season Sept. 11 at Southern. With that group’s added maturity and a senior class that experienced a good deal of success last season, this team again, at least on paper, appears to have an opportunity to be one of the Shore Conference’s best this season.
Stay tuned to Inside the 18 and follow me on Twitter <http://twitter.com/ZieglerAPP> for more updates and thoughts as the 2010 season approaches. Things will pick up quickly when scrimmages begin late next week.

We rock!
Thanks again, NJ.com for covering our game!

We lost 2-3 against Woodbridge this week but got a mention again in the Star-Ledger, on NJ.com.

At least the Asbury Park Press gave us props for being #5 in the Class A North region!
Check out the article from earlier this month about our (boo-hoo) loss to Colts Neck. And I almost got kicked in the face!! Who says soccer isn’t exciting?!?!?!??!!?
